Collection: EDVARD MUNCH

Edvard Munch was a Norwegian painter, best known for The Scream arguably one of the most recognised works of art ever.
The inspiration to paint 'The Scream' came to Munch one day when he was was walking down the road with two friends and suddenly, the sky turned as red as blood.
He stopped and leaned against the fence, feeling unspeakably tired. His friends went on walking, while he lagged behind, shivering with fear. He states that he was "
stretched to the limit" and nature was "screaming" in his blood… After that he says he "gave up hope ever of being able to love again".
